Our worship team plays a big part in our Sunday service. The team has the task of leading our church congregation in praise and worship. Songs directly praising and thanking God are emphasized.
The band plays contemporary worship songs, most from the extensive Vineyard Music Group library. We even have some original worship songs, penned by songwriters in our group.
Drama! Dance! Pantomime! Sign language! Flags! Children's ballet! These are just a few venues that have been incorporated into the Creative Arts Ministry at the Vineyard. The message of salvation through Jesus Christ and the ministry of worship are key factors in the foundation of our Creative Arts Ministry. Many people are blessed through the visual arts and this is why this ministry exists. Look for future opportunities that will allow participation to community oriented theater and dance.
Baptism is on the last Sunday of each month.
Contact the church office by Wednesday if you would like to participate.
WHAT is Baptism?
Baptism is a testimony that you have believed, through faith, in Jesus Christ and you are now following Him.
Romans 6:3-4 “don't you know that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? 4 We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.”
Baptism is a picture of the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Colossians 2:12 “For when you were baptized, you were buried with Christ, and in baptism you were also raised with Christ.”
Baptism is showing obedience and submission to God.
Matthew 28:19:20 “Jesus said, ‘Go then, to all people everywhere and make them my disciples, baptize them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, and then teach them to obey everything I have commanded you..”
WHY should I be baptized?
You have trusted Christ as your Savior.
Acts 18:8 “...many of the people who heard Him believed and were baptized.”
You desire to show that you are a disciple of Christ.
Matthew 28:19 “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit..”
WHAT if I was baptized as an infant?
Infant baptism symbolizes a covenant only between the parents and God. The parents promise to raise their child in the faith until the child is old enough to make his or her own personal confession of Christ. In this way, the public confession carries special meaning for parents as they acknowledge accountability before God and the church for their role as godly parents. A “baptism of confirmation” in no way reflects your personal commitment to Christ, which is a prerequisite for biblical baptism. Thus, infant baptism differs from the baptism taught in the Bible, which was only for those old enough to believe. At the Warehouse, we celebrate a baby dedication to give parents the opportunity to publicly acknowledge their parental responsibility before God.
